Definition of Canada Health Act by Rand Dyck and Christopher Cochrane (in their book “Canadian Politics: Critical Approaches”) in the context of political science in Canada: The 1984 act that re-imposed conditions on federal block grants to the provinces for health programs, especially to prevent extra-billing or other moves toward a profit-oriented, two-tier health system.
