Definition of Foreign Investment Review Agency Fira by Rand Dyck and Christopher Cochrane (in their book “Canadian Politics: Critical Approaches”) in the context of political science in Canada: The agency established in the early 1970s to screen foreign investment in Canada and approve of foreign takeovers of Canadian firms; discontinued by the Mulroney government.
