Definition of Sexual Orientation by Rand Dyck and Christopher Cochrane (in their book “Canadian Politics: Critical Approaches”) in the context of political science in Canada: One’s sexual preference, usually either heterosexual or homosexual, a ground on which governments and courts now prohibit discrimination.
